The Adaptive Judo Program is dedicated to the promotion and development of all forms and levels of adaptive/special ability Judo across our community. Adaptive judo is specifically developed to encourage physical activity, inclusion, competitiveness and wellbeing to the wider judo community who live with a complex range of abilities and disabilities. Our Adaptive Judo Program advocates and promotes judo for people of all disabilities including but not limited to Intellectual, physical, social disabilities and sensory impairments.
Our academy is one of the founding members of the Texas Armed Forces Adaptive Judo Program, which offers military personnel, veterans, and their families the opportunity to engage in Judo training at zero or low cost in the State of Texas. We recognize the unique challenges faced by service members and their loved ones and are dedicated to providing a safe, inclusive, and supportive space for them to grow both mentally and physically. The program is tailored to improve mental resilience, boost self-confidence, and promote physical fitness, while embracing the diversity and strengths of all participants, including those with physical impairments. Through this initiative, we aim to build a stronger, more connected community, offering service members a positive outlet for stress relief, physical conditioning, and camaraderie.
